succeed in iife due to hard work or luck?
It is supposed to be one of the most well-known old saying,"no pain, no gain",which depicts if you want to have an abundant harvest, you have to work hard first. Therefore, I firmly agree the one who wants to succeed in life must be through hard work.

Take the students for example, the ones who contribute most of time or attention to their academic practice, the good retrun is one thing could be imagined. Just like the one who is addict to a certain sporting event, wants to be a professional player, consistent and continuous practice is the best policy to win.

"Every skyscaper built from the very basement" is a famous old Chinese saying, which younger children are taught as a reimder when they step into a walk of life, telling that if you want to win or succeed, you must attentively involve in the basic hard work which supports further advancement, like basements of buildings, success could be expected.

Some believe that success subsists in hard work, while others believe luck dominates their fate. As you can see on the television, the passage of legislation and campaigns for somee reforms are based on the advocates and opponents' hard working and lobbying. If you expect to gain something without an effort, that is not fair. Only if do you pay some efforts and concertation on your goal, the success would knock your door.

As what Bill Gaze said in his 11 rules of life, "You will not make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice president with car phone, until you earn both". I believe people succeed in life due to hard work instead of merely luck.

Some people may achieve their goals by good luck, but this kind of success is only temporarily. A lottery winner will not always be rich if he/she just sits at the coach all day. In addition, good chance does not knock everyone's door. If someone just expects the coming of good luck and does nothing, is it possible for him to become successful?

On the contrary, people who work hard can be really successful in life because they have the ability to support their own achievements. Bill Gaze founded Microsoft when he was 19. Despite the fact that he was born in a rich family, what makes him successful person is his diligent working for more than 10 hours a day. Is Bill Gaze a lucky man? Definitely yes! However, without hard work, he could possibly be nobody.

To sum up, luck is only an auxiliary to one's success, but the key factor is hard work. You can choose to play around and wait until your fortune comes; in contrast, you can actively pursue your own opportunity. It's up to you!

Have you ever met a person who is successful without hard work? However, I have never met that kind of person. I believe that the one who wants to be a top tog in his field should be diligent in his work. Luck comes by chance, while hard work totally depends on oneself. Normally, hard worker often treasures his success. My reasons could be explained in the following paragraphs.

First of all, hard work contributes to one’s success and prosperity of a society, while luck does not always come to him. For instance, the president of Taiwan who was poor when he was young has been working hard in his political career. Because of his hard work he becomes a president. He has said that hard work is necessary and can enrich one’s life. The one who is a hard worker never loses because he knows “hard work” is a success.

In addition to the first reason I mentioned, hard work is more important than luck because hard worker mostly cherishes his success, on the other hand, the one whose success comes from luck rarely cherishes his success. For instance, those who win the lottery always waste their money because they think that money is easy to be earned. The one who cherishes his success will continue to work hard since he understands the success comes with efforts.

In conclusion, the society needs the people who work hard and can keep work to make a huge progress for the world and increase our level of lives.

Basically speaking, in my point of view, I believe that people succeed in life due to "hard work" instead of "luck." The followings are my reasons.

First of all, to take lottery for example, billions of people dream to become a millionaire; however, there are only couples of lucky guys won the jackpots. Therefore, one wiches to succeed only by luck is completely unrealistic.

In addition, although hard work could not promise one's success, it is the basic lesson for one trying to make one's life more splendid. Just like an old saying goes, "No pain, no gain." But for one's hard work, one should never taste the fruit of success.

In conclusion, according to my pointviews above mentioned, I believe that one's success is not mere a coincidence. One's success must be rooted in one's hardwork.

Should success in life be contributed to either hard work or luck ? I believe it is a combination of both. While some work very hard to pursue their goals, the family or social condition limit their success. Under some circumstances, people are advantaged at the moment of their birth, success thus doesn't take much of their efforts. In most situation, however, hard work and luck are both required for one's success.

Edison, the father of invention, contributed most of his success on hard work. He familed hundreds of experiments before he succed. Even so, Edison admitted that a genius is of 99% of hard work and of 1% of luck. He never denied that luck does play a role in shaping a genius. Einstein, on the other hand, is believed to own extraordinary IQ that led to his great achievment in science. Although he is a clever scientist, we cannot thus ignored his efforts on his scientific research. Without hard work, luck will just slip away.

In nowadays, success is contributed to various elements such as the influence of family, the inspiration gained from education, or even the encouragements by friends….and the list goes on. Not to mention other advantages such as the policies of government, the economic situation of that person's nation, …etc. All these play an important role in creating the opportunities for a sccessful person.

In sum, various perspectives should be considered in contributing one's success. Keep up the hard work, and when the opportunties, or luck, come, you will hold the key and enter the door of success. /

Frankly speaking, I am not so sure about the quotation in the age of 45 years old. I remember during the school, most of the student had been taught “ 30% talent plus 70% hard working equals 100%”. This means that the hard working is more important than the talent gift created by luck. However, according to my experience, I doubt it. May be in the ancient era, it is golden rule which applied well in the agriculture society. For most of the people were farmer that they could not feed them and their family well in case they did not work hard. As the time goes by, industrialization took place of the agriculture as the main stem of the society. This golden rule is not so invincible any more. Follow by two examples as below to explain how I do not believe it any more.
I used to have a friend who is not belonging to the kind of hard working guy. He had gained a plenty of wealth during the economic booming 20 years ago in the stock market. I think it was just a pure luck. He was not in this field in which means he did not know anything about the stock market. However with a friend guiding, he earned a big money and withdraw his capital and keep it in the bank. You know the stock market was a legal casino at that time. It is a kind of frustration to me that no matter how hard working I am, I could not have this kind of money in the rest of my life.
In spite of that friend, I have another friend who was born in a rich family with a pair of hard working parents. Due to his father died young, he inherited a lot of money but not the hard working habit. Apparently, he spent all the money in every funny way because he did not earn they by his own.
When it comes to the conclusion, my opinion is still an anomalous. If you ask me which one is more important, hard working or luck? My answer is that it depends.

I believe that people succeed in life due to 70% " hard work" and 30% luck for two reasons.

First of all, there is a Taiwan song which mentioned that you must work hard because the success is by 70% hard work and 30% luck. If you do not work and only want luck God to visit you, it's only a day dream. There is a saying that no pain no gain. If you work hard, your boss may think you are a work hard person. Maybe he will consider to promote your position. If you are a lazy employee, I think your boss won't promote your position. In contrast , your boss will fire you.

The other reason is that sometimes you need luck to help you. I think luck is also an element of success. A person with lcuk will succeed more quickly than a person without luck.

In conclude, both luck and hard work are the elements of success. I think the percent of hard work is more than the percent of luck, because only a little lcuk just can help you have more chance than others. The most important element of success is work hard.

I believe that people succeed in life due to “hard work” just because people control their own fate and not everyone will have miracle. It’s quite hard dot imagine that if everyone don’t want to work, how would our society be?

Fist, it is no doubt that no one chooses his/her family. Some people are born of wealthy family and some people aren’t. So many poor people work very hard because they want to change their fate and they want to improve their financial difficulties. Many of them make it as you can see in our society such as our President Chen.

In addition, if everyone doesn’t want to work and just daydreams that he/she will succeed, I believe that our society would be disordered. Everyone wants to be lucky enough, but not everyone will have luck and become a successful person.

We are not fortunetellers, how can we know we will have luck to succeed. If we won’t have luck, how would we do? I think we have to work hard, prepare ourselves, wait chance and grab it, not rely on luck.

Thomas Edison, the president of General Electronic, said, “Success is 99 percent hard work and 1 percent talent.” I believe that hard working is the most powerful and effective key to lead one to the door of success. Therefore, I agree that people succeed in life due to hard work.

Each of us has 24 hours a day. What is the difference of successful people from ordinary people? Because successful people invest their time smartly and manage their time properly to conduct on things that they are interested. Albert Einstein, the greatest physician, only spent four to six hours on sleeping and used rest of his time on researches. If Einstein, the man who is generally considered to be the most talented person in the history, is such a hard-working person, we should also follow his steps.

Besides, to those successful people who simply due to good luck, their success are always ephemeral. There are too many examples that children who born in a rich family and wasted money in a extravagant way turned out to be worse than ordinary people. Because those lucky people don’t treasure their asset, time or money, they take it for granted.

In conclusion, hard working is the element to success. I think as long as one is hard working enough, one will also get lucky, sooner or later. After all, god always help those people who help themselves.//

Have you ever seen a student passing the exam to good university without never studying hard? If you’ve seen this kind of person, I think you’re lucky. I agree that people succeed in life due to hard work. There are two reasons to support my opinion.

First of all, luck never lasts long. We often heard people winning “big lottery”, but never over twice. A person could never be forever lucky or poor. I believe that God creates equal opportunities to everybody.

In addition to luck never lasting long, luck also can not be gained. Success can be gained through hard work. We all know that our President Chen was born in a very humble family. Instead of playing around and giving up himself, he studied extremely hard and became a lawyer. Now, he’s our President and enjoy the reputation and goodness through hard work.

In conclusion, we can not always count on luck to be success. The only thing we can control is ourselves. Though hard work can not guarantee big success, at least we’re responsible for ourselves. Remember this, don’t try to blame anybody or God, you’re the one who can control your life. God doesn’t owe you luck.

I agree strongly with the idea that people succeed in life due to luck. I am sure all you have heard some one complains to you that they don’t have a gorgeous life because of wanting enough luck. If they have enough good luck, they can succeed in life more easily.

In fact, luck can help one kiss crown without much difficulty. For example, one of us must have had such an experience that we only stayed up one day for next day’s mid-exam or final exam, but we got much higher scores than other diligent classmates who study for this exam everyday.

Besides, luck can have you are being in right place to meet someone, having the right skills to get a job done. Our elderly often tell us nothing can replace hard work, and hard work can make us have greater opportunity to succeed some other day. However, please note the word they said “opportunity”. Don’t forget that “opportunity” often depends on so-called luck.

Without a doubt, luck is an important element to achieve success.

As a saying goes, as you sow, so shall you reap. Sometimes good luck may bring something good to you unexpectedly, while I think hard work is the key factor that leads you to the road of success.

The first reason is because I strongly believe man’s diligence will triumph over the obstacles to success; however, good luck will not be always with us. There are so many people who are successful in their life not because of luck, but because of diligence. Taking President Chen Shui-bian for example, although he grew up in a humble family, he never lost his confidence and finally achieved success through his persistence.

Another reason why I value hard work over good luck is because I am convinced that people who strive hard for the future will have better chance to success in his life. Just like the proverb says, no pains, no gains. A student can not acquire high score without preparation, while a person can not succeed in his life without hard work. The fact is that we will never become successful if we are not well-prepared.

To be brief, we should bear in mind that those things who come easily will also go easily; therefore, if you want to have a good future, working hard is the best policy to success.

I believe hard working and good fortune are equally important for a successful person.

Hard working makes a person with the qualification of the candidate who may achieve success one day. Luck makes a person with a puff of power which pushes him upward to touch the sweet fruit. None of them can be absent if you want to be successful.

I take myself as the example, I attened the United Entrance Examination of Technologic University twice. I studied very hard evenly, but I got the different outcome. The first year, I caught a cold. I never forget that my serious running nose made me mad during the exam. I almost could not breathe let alone had to concentrate on the test paper. There was no surprising that I failed.
However, God bless me in the second year. I remember everything was smooth then that I had a good fitness, a clear brain and a wonderful mood. Finally, I won.

Accordingly, I absoutely believe that they can not be separated. When you are well-prepared, I believe the lucky god will visit you one day. However, if you just waiting there with no effort, no pain, success will keep you far far away.
